An explanation of browser storage, saved planning choices and third-party content on the current Exotic Morocco website.

1. What this page covers
Cookies are small pieces of information a service can store in your browser and receive again with later requests. Local storage is a different browser mechanism: information remains available to code running for that website. Both can persist beyond the page you are reading, although their behaviour and purpose differ.
This page reflects the current editorial site. Checkout, the store contact form, Google Maps and social platforms are separate services with their own storage practices. A link to an external service and an embedded map do not behave in the same way: the map can contact its provider as part of displaying the page.
2. Storage used by the editorial site
The current editorial code does not set a first-party advertising cookie or run a first-party analytics tracker. It has no newsletter signup or visitor login. Site Search operates in the browser and does not store a query history. Hosting and security services can still process technical request information, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
The principal first-party preference storage in the current code is the Plan checklist. It uses local storage rather than a cookie. The key starts with em-plan-checklist: followed by the checklist page path. Its value is an array of selected or unselected checkbox states.
3. Your checklist choices
Saved choices help you return to a planning checklist in the same browser. They do not create a profile, make a reservation or synchronise to a different phone or computer. Anyone using the same browser profile may be able to see the saved checklist state.
There is no fixed expiry built into this storage. It remains until the site overwrites it or you or your browser removes it. Private browsing and browser privacy settings can change whether it is retained. Clearing storage may reset your planning progress; keep a separate note of anything you need.
4. Embedded maps
Google Maps appears within some destination, city and region pages. Loading the embed can send technical information to Google and may involve cookies or other storage according to Google’s service, your browser settings and your existing relationship with Google.
These maps are not currently blocked behind a site-specific consent panel. Do not assume that the absence of a cookie banner means no third party is contacted. You can use browser settings or content controls to restrict third-party storage and embeds, although this may prevent a map from working. See Google’s explanation of cookies and its Privacy Policy.
5. Guide store, contact form & social links
Following a product or contact link opens the established Payhip-powered store. Checkout, payment processing, form protection and any store preferences operate there. Their storage is governed by that service and any choices presented during your visit; it is not described as a cookie set by the editorial Search tool.
Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Pinterest are linked from the footer. Opening them takes you to those platforms, where their own cookies and settings apply. The footer links are ordinary links rather than embedded social feeds. Review Payhip’s privacy information and the relevant platform’s controls when using those services.
6. Managing browser storage
Use your browser’s privacy or site-data settings to inspect or clear cookies and local storage, restrict third-party cookies or block specific content. The exact controls depend on your browser and device. Clearing all browser data can also sign you out of other services or remove unrelated preferences, so choose the scope carefully.
The current editorial site does not provide a separate cookie-preference dashboard. Browser controls are the available way to restrict storage here. If a feature stops working after you block storage, the rest of the editorial content should still be readable; a saved checklist or embedded map may be affected.
7. Questions & changes
For a question about a particular page or integration, contact Exotic Morocco with its URL and a description of what you observed. Storage practices will need to be reviewed when the implementation changes. This policy does not claim that analytics, advertising or other proposed systems are already installed.
