Copyright & Personal-Use Licence
Share the discovery by linking to it. For copying, publishing or using a purchased guide, understand the difference between personal access and permission to reuse protected material.

1. Material on the platform
The website includes editorial text, photographs, illustrations, maps, branding, layouts and other design assets. Rights may belong to Exotic Morocco or to credited third-party creators and licensors. A visible asset is not automatically free to download and reuse, and the platform does not claim ownership of another creator’s work merely because it appears here.
Where a credit or specific licence accompanies material, read that licence and retain any required attribution. An open licence may permit uses that this general page would otherwise require permission for. Copyright exceptions and other rights granted by applicable law also remain available.
2. Browsing & sharing links
You may read the public pages, use normal browser functions to view them and share links to them. Linking friends, students or readers to the original page is the clearest way to preserve its context, credits and current information.
Sharing a link is different from reposting an entire article, copying a photo into a social post or uploading a purchased PDF. A screenshot can also reproduce protected material. Where a lawful quotation or other exception applies, keep the use proportionate and include the attribution required by law or the applicable licence.
3. Personal use of purchased guides
Unless a product expressly provides a different licence, a digital guide is supplied for the original purchaser’s personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable use. You may read it on your own compatible devices and keep a reasonable personal backup. Personal printing is permitted where the product’s stated conditions allow it.
The purchase grants access and the specified use rights; it does not transfer copyright, give permission to extract its imagery for another project or authorise distribution to other people. Any files or access links should be kept private. The product description and terms accepted at purchase govern the particular guide.
4. Uses that need separate permission
Unless a specific licence or legal exception permits them, the normal personal licence does not include:
- Uploading, emailing or sharing a guide file with a group or making its download link public.
- Reselling, licensing, translating or repackaging the guide or substantial parts of it.
- Using text, photographs, illustrations or layouts in commercial publications, advertising or paid products.
- Republishing complete articles or presenting copied material as your own work.
- Removing copyright notices, credits, watermarks or other ownership information.
- Using Exotic Morocco branding in a way that implies endorsement, affiliation or official status.
A family group, classroom, tour business or organisation should request an appropriate arrangement before distributing files. Buying one personal copy does not establish a multi-user licence.
5. Third-party and openly licensed material
Some pages contain explicit image credits or links to source licences. Follow those terms for the particular asset, including attribution, share-alike or other conditions where applicable. Permission from Exotic Morocco cannot replace permission that only another rights holder can give.
An editorial mention of a museum, venue, organisation or brand is not a claim to its trademarks or content. Embedded maps and external platforms are also subject to their providers’ terms. When ownership or the permitted use is unclear, ask before republication rather than assuming that an online image is unprotected.
6. Requesting reuse permission
Use Contact and identify the exact page, image or publication. Describe the proposed use, audience, medium, distribution, duration and whether it is commercial. Include any deadline. A request can then be assessed or directed to the appropriate rights holder.
Wait for written permission where permission is required. Sending a request, crediting the website or purchasing a guide does not by itself authorise a new use. Any permission granted applies to its stated scope and conditions.
7. Attribution or rights concerns
If you believe material has been misattributed or used without the necessary rights, send its URL, identify the work, explain your relationship to it and provide the basis for the concern. Clear evidence helps locate and assess the material without guessing which image or passage is involved.
Please avoid sending unnecessary personal documents with an initial request. A rights concern can be raised through the established contact channel. For general purchase questions, see FAQ & Help.
