Find the moment.
Understand the setting.
A calendar is useful when it tells you what is known—and what is still a possibility.
Some Moroccan events publish dates well ahead. Others follow a seasonal rhythm while their exact programme appears later. This calendar keeps those two kinds of information separate. A confirmed date belongs to a named year; a typical month helps you explore an idea without pretending a booking window is settled.
Start with the season you can travel, then compare the kind of gathering you want. Music festivals, agricultural exhibitions, film screenings and moussems ask different things of a visitor. The full event pages explain those distinctions before you commit.
Checked 29 September 2026. The confirmed dates below span late 2026 and summer 2027; this is a planning view, not a claim that every event occurs in the same calendar year.

Three labels.
No invented dates.
Confirmed dates
A forthcoming edition has a published date in an official source or a clearly attributed organizer announcement. This confirms the date statement checked here, not an immutable promise that a schedule can never change.
Typical season
A recurring agricultural or cultural pattern gives a broad window. Exact forthcoming dates were not verified. Use it to explore a region and keep the event-dependent part of your trip flexible.
Dates not announced
The checked sources identify an established event, but do not establish its next edition dates. A past programme may explain the event’s character. It should not be silently moved forward by one year.
A useful example is Tan-Tan: the organizer’s revised 30 October–3 November 2026 dates were reported on 24 September. Those supersede the earlier October schedule. The full record keeps that distinction visible.
Winter.
Make room for the interior.
December · January · February
None of the named events currently in this library has a verified forthcoming winter date. That is an honest gap in the calendar, not a reason to invent a festival. Winter can still support a rich cultural visit through museums, exhibitions, workshops and public programmes announced by the institutions themselves.
Plan a day that can change shape. A museum visit or a confirmed indoor performance can be paired with a shorter outdoor walk, leaving room for weather and earlier darkness. Check opening hours and closures directly instead of assuming that a quieter tourist season means fewer restrictions.
For religious or community occasions, follow the announced local date and the host’s invitation. A calendar label does not determine whether a gathering welcomes visitors.

Institutional programmes
Look for the actual exhibition, talk or performance in the institution’s current calendar. Ordinary museum entry and a special programme may have different arrangements.

Skills at a human scale
A planned workshop or demonstration can be a rewarding focus when the terms, duration and language are clear. Give the maker time to explain the process.

Architecture and access
A historic interior can be a cultural destination in its own right. Read the access conditions and do not confuse a public museum with a private or devotional space.

Land, work & renewal.
March · April · May
Spring connects the calendar to agriculture and the places where products are grown, processed and exchanged. SIAM is a major exhibition with a professional dimension. Rose-season celebrations and the perfume-rose salon belong to a different landscape and set of local activities. Neither should be reduced to a generic “flower festival”.
The cards below give a seasonal window where a future date is not verified. If one event is the main reason for your trip, wait for an edition-specific announcement before treating that window as fixed.

June · July · August
Summer brings several different forms of performance into the planning conversation. A coastal music festival, a city-wide stage programme and a large moussem have different access rules, crowd patterns and cultural purposes. Start with the event that interests you, then assess the practical day around it.
Gnaoua in Essaouira and Jazzablanca have announced 2027 dates in the checked organizer sources. Other cards below retain their next-date uncertainty. Do not assume that a past summer lineup or ticket offer belongs to the next edition.

The Atlantic cities
Essaouira, Casablanca and Rabat offer different urban scales and performance settings. Choose accommodation in relation to the exact venue and late return, rather than relying on a general idea of being “near the centre”.

Fès and Sefrou are connected by geography but host distinct cultural events. A city concert and a civic harvest celebration deserve separate plans. Check the announced schedule before deciding whether to combine them.

Harvests, stories & return.
September · October · November
Autumn’s current picture includes two confirmed late-2026 gatherings and one broad harvest-related window. Marrakech’s film festival is an opportunity to focus on cinema. Tan-Tan’s revised schedule brings a major living-heritage gathering into late October and early November. Erfoud’s date season provides agricultural context, while the next SIDATTES exhibition dates require confirmation.
Use the different status labels when constructing a route. A firm cinema date and a typical harvest month carry different levels of certainty, even when both look attractive in the same itinerary.

Distinguish a festival from a ritual
A public stage programme is designed for an audience. A devotional or family occasion can have another purpose. The fact that an activity is culturally significant does not establish permission to enter or record it.
Read the gathering on its own terms
Moussems can bring together social, religious, commercial and performative strands. Ask which activities are open to visitors and follow the host’s boundaries rather than expecting every part to operate like a ticketed festival.
Leave room for change
Programmes respond to practical conditions and community priorities. Recheck dates and access close to departure. Flexible time in the host city is more useful than an itinerary that collapses if one session moves.

Reading the calendar
without misreading it.
Why are 2026 and 2027 dates shown together?
The calendar highlights the next dates verified at the time of checking. Some organizers have announced a 2027 edition while others have an upcoming late-2026 event. Every confirmed card includes the year.
Why is a familiar festival marked unannounced?
The event can be well established while its next dates remain unverified in the checked sources. The label concerns the forthcoming edition, not the existence or importance of the festival.
Are the seasonal bands a complete national schedule?
No. They organize the researched events in this growing library. Local programmes and smaller gatherings need their own official announcements. A blank month does not mean Morocco has no cultural activity then.
Does confirmed mean tickets are available?
No. An organizer may announce dates before the programme, ticketing or accreditation opens. Follow the full event page and official source for the next practical step.
Choose one anchor.
Build a generous trip.
Begin with the event you would most like to experience. Check its date status and admission logic, then choose a base and a realistic arrival. Add places and cultural visits that fit around it instead of forcing the event between a string of tight transfers.
Keep a second version of the day: a museum, a walk or a craft visit that does not depend on the same performance. That alternative is not wasted planning. It gives the trip a shape even if a programme changes, the weather intervenes or you simply want a quieter afternoon.
